Microchannel Heat Exchanger
|
Big heat exchangers, little heat exchangers, independent heat exchangers, and dependent heat exchangers. There are so many different heat exchangers on the market that it can be a task to figure out what type of heat exchanger is needed for which job. Some heat exchangers are only used in cars, while others can be used in air conditioning, heating units, refrigerators, and other types of products. Some heat exchangers are so common that many people have experience in working with that type, others are less known and take specific professionals to help understand how to properly operate these heat exchangers.
One of the heat exchangers that is so unknown that it takes very knowledgeable professionals to be able to understand the workings of it and help install it into various appliances is that of the microchannel heat exchanger. These are very small heat exchangers where the liquid runs laterally to the other components. As with all heat exchangers, one or two fluids are kept apart from each other but yet work off of each other in order to heat or cool each other. There are various ways that the heat can flow and depending upon the direction of the flow of heat it can be known as counter flow or cross flow. Since the heat exchanger is very very small and used in a lot of micro technology, there is a good chance that there aren't many people knowledgeable in the use of this type of exchanger. Someone that has experience in micro technology is the best bet to help users understand the inner workings of such heat exchange. As micro technology is very rarely used in any field outside of the science field, the possibility of a non-science person running into instances of using this type of heat exchanger are rare. However, it can be a bit of handy information to know or even an area of study for those that are interested in engineering field. There are many handy websites online that can offer a more in depth look into the workings of micro technology and the applications that would use this type of science. |
